Save your Pins to Evernote (#Pinterest)

And I’m officially obsessed… In addition to my Evernoting, I now Pin, and the world keeps spinning. For those than can empathy (sympathy), check out this Pinterest Evernote Integration. Happy Pinning… and then saving to Evernote and looking at your pins all over again but this time in your amazing life stream of news, tools, apps, pictures or whatever else you save in Evernote!/

Say that three times fast!

Backing Up Your Pins to Evernote/

  1. Find your Pinterest RSS Feed. Should look like feed://pinterest.com/lindseycholmes/feed.rss (Unsure about what RSS is? Learn here.)

  2. Sign up for IFTTT.com (If This Then That (IFTTT) is a free application that automates some of your everyday tasks. Save this one. We’ll use it again and again). If you already have an account, sign in.

  3. Choose a Trigger channel. For this exercise we’ll be using the Feed channel for RSS Feed./

  1. Create a Task. If is the RSS Trigger, That is Evernote.

5. You can then customize your note further by adding Addins. Adding the {{EntryContent}} Addin will allow for a copy of the image in addition to the image url. If you don’t want to add a copy of the image in your Evernote however, say you need to save on space for example, just leave {{EntryImageUrl}} on the “Image Url” line. Choose your notebook on Evernote. Make sure to add the notebook first if it doesn’t already exist, add some tags if you desire, and press ‘update.’/

  1. Press Create action and you’re done. Voila! You’ll have an AUTOMATIC archive of your pins!

Make sure to return to IFTTT. There are some amazing tasks here. A favorite of mine sends me a text message when it’s going to rain outside. That makes me smile.
